В еженедельной музыкальной афише Noor Bar часть проекта Dance Layers of the Atmosphere с живым выступлением в четверг, в пятницу концерт Popnoname, переходящий по ходу вечера в его же ди-джей сет (буквально – волшебство, становящееся чудом), в субботу за пультом благонадежные свои.

На афише, тем временем, наблюдаются некоторые страстные сближения. В такую погоду необходимые каждому.

Stream Matt Karmil’s album + + + + of grainy, elemental house for Cologne’s PNN

After many years quietly honing his craft in the studio, in the past two years Matt Karmil has come out of the shadows to release a deluge of diverse dance 12″s, including records for NYC’s Beats in Space, London’s Yumé, Bristol’s Idle Hands and Tokyo’s Endless Flight, plus a natty remix of Talaboman’s ‘Sideral’ that you may have heard.

Currently based in Cologne, the UK producer this week returns to local label PNN to follow up his debut album of grungy, stripped-back house. That one was called – – – –, and his new effort goes by the complementary title + + +.

Like its predecessor, + + + is a more elemental and roughshod affair than his more club-focused 12″s, veering from Smallville-esque romance (‘If I’m Honest I Miss You A Little Bit’) to trance-inducing drum workouts (‘AF’) and weatherbeaten house in the vein of Andy Stott (‘Crush’). This is music for close listening, studded with small details that open up with repeat spins.

On March 25, meakusma goes back to the Foyer of the Jünglingshaus in Eupen presenting two unconventional concerts by Jens-Uwe Beyer from Cologne.

Jens-Uwe Beyer is known for being one of the founding members of ‘All-Star Band’ Cologne Tape and for running the Cologne-based Magazine label together with Barnt and Crato. He has frequently contributed music to the Pop Ambient compilations on Kompakt before founding his own PNN label. he has released solo work on Magazine, Kompakt Pop, PNN and Italic. His The Emissary album is a deceptively tranquil and beautiful ambient music outing that houses deep and brooding undercurrents. As very much the case with the producers linked to the Magazine label, The Emissary carries a subtle statement in its tendency to focus on explicit beauty and combining that tendency with refined avant garde techniques. Beyer’s music essentially makes the wayward accessible.
